Job Description
Data Migration Engineer at Mark43 designing SQL-based migrations for public safety data. Collaborating with contractors and internal teams to ensure high-quality data delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute SQL-based ETL processes to migrate public safety data from legacy systems
- Collaborate with data migration contractors and review technical deliverables
- Meet with records management teams to understand legacy data and translate to Mark43 schema
- Investigate uniquely formatted source databases for data fidelity
- Work alongside deployment, engineering, and product teams to improve migration tools
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a data migration, ETL development, or SQL development role
- Deep understanding of SQL and relational database design
- Demonstrated experience writing complex SQL scripts
- Ability to analyze and translate legacy data models into new schemas
- Experience managing contractor deliverables is a plus
- Interest in public safety data and the impact of high-quality migrations on customer success
