Job Description

Data & Policy Graduate Fellow in NJ Office of Innovation. Supporting public projects through policy research, project planning, and AI usage.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy world-class innovative and digital services for public interest challenges
  • Contribute to execution of core projects and the evolution of the Office of Innovation
  • Use data and research methods to inform decision making
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and solve challenges
  • Support large-scale public projects with policy research and project planning

Requirements:

  • Relevant education background: Currently pursuing or recently graduated from a graduate program related to public policy, technology, engineering, and other related fields
  • Familiarity with policy documents, regulatory systems, and legislative processes
  • Experience developing and executing research plans with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience using generative AI tools for research
  • Familiarity with academic research enterprise and education systems
  • Experience solving complex problems using human-centered design and data-driven decision making
  • Dedicated to advancing the mission of the NJ Innovation Authority and public service
