Job Description
Deal origination analyst sourcing businesses for Everis, an AI-native business group acquiring internet businesses and apps. Building broker and owner relationships, qualifying opportunities, and managing acquisition pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Research markets and companies to build the pipeline of businesses Everis may acquire
- Build relationships with brokers, advisers, marketplaces, and other deal sources
- Maintain regular contact and follow up consistently
- Screen brokered and marketplace opportunities against Everis’s criteria
- Build targeted lists of businesses and owners
- Find and verify decision-maker contacts
- Conduct outreach by phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and other relevant channels
- Hold initial conversations, understand owners’ goals, and follow up over potentially long cycles
- Understand each business’s operations, revenue model, customers, and defensibility
- Gather high-level information on revenue, profit, growth, recurring revenue, customer concentration, owner involvement, asking price, sale motivation, and timing
- Assess fit and prepare short opportunity briefs and notes
- Coordinate clean handoffs to the deal team
- Keep the acquisition CRM accurate, including contacts, source, stage, notes, next action, financial snippets, risks, and follow-up dates
- Track outreach, responses, meetings, qualified opportunities, handoffs, and funnel progression
- Provide concise weekly reporting
- Use evidence and AI tools to improve research, outreach, recordkeeping, and sourcing methods
Requirements:
- Candidates must be based in the United States or Canada
- Availability during North American business hours
- Excellent spoken and written communication
- Ability to sound credible with experienced brokers and owners without finance jargon
- Comfortable making cold calls, sending outbound messages, hearing no, and following up
- Highly organized and reliable, with accurate notes and strong follow-through
- Strong research judgment and basic financial and commercial literacy, or ability to learn quickly
- High integrity and care with confidential information
- Comfortable with spreadsheets, CRM systems, research databases, and AI tools
- Motivated, proactive, resilient, and able to work without constant supervision
- Zero to three years of professional experience
- Relevant sourcing, sales, research, brokerage, consulting, or entrepreneurial experience is useful but not required
