Job Description
Decision Support Analyst improving financial performance for Mosaic Life Care, a northwest Missouri healthcare system. Analyzing operations, profitability, costing, and cost-saving opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with finance and operational leadership to identify key challenges and opportunities
- Use creative thinking to address complex issues in a fast-paced setting
- Analyze business operations against industry best practices and internal goals
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across divisions
- Prepare and review profitability analyses for service lines
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance
- Enhance decision support systems through strategic solutions
- Develop and maintain methodologies for costing, corporate allocations, patient-level analysis, and productivity assessments
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, finance, or related field — Required
- 3 years of finance or accounting experience — Required
- Healthcare finance or accounting experience — Preferred
- Fundamental clinical and financial concepts necessary to analyze operational performance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer abilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize work
- Ability to provide weekly updates on projects
- Ability to develop and maintain policies and procedures
- Strong technical, professional, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Able to sit and view a computer screen for up to three hours at a time
- Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Travel to off-site locations may be required
