Job Description

Therapeutic Specialist driving AbbVie pharmaceutical sales across Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Building healthcare-provider relationships, executing territory plans, and maximizing brand performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute robust business plans aligned with customer needs and brand strategy
  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives
  • Support stakeholder needs and build trusted customer relationships
  • Execute call plans, pre-call plans, and post-call evaluations
  • Identify customer and patient needs, align with treatment paradigms, present valued treatment options, and close with a call to action
  • Build knowledge of customers, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, and clinical information
  • Share market intelligence with the district manager and team
  • Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with healthcare providers
  • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates
  • Maximize short- and long-term sales performance while operating within AbbVie policies, business conduct, and applicable laws

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years in a Specialty Sales role within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing experience preferred
  • Proven track record in sales and solid presentation skills
  • Strong ability to proactively identify customer style/behavior and adapt all aspects of selling approach
  • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product and competitive knowledge
  • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools
  • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment
  • Innovative problem-solving and ability to anticipate and respond to changes or challenges
  • Ability to build collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and team
  • Documented success in leadership and support roles of increased responsibility
  • English language proficiency (oral and written)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Ease with technology and various tools/systems for day-to-day tasks
  • Ability to work evenings/weekends from time to time, including overnight travel (25%)
  • Valid driver's license and passport
  • Strategic thinking, business judgment, analytical skills, and effective communication and collaboration
