Job Description
DevOps Engineer maintaining AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD infrastructure for VeliTech’s iGaming products. Improving reliability, observability, security, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve the reliability, availability, and performance of production infrastructure
- Monitor cloud infrastructure and proactively identify potential issues before they impact customers
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement long-term preventive solutions
- Automate operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and scripting
- Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure, including ECS Fargate, and Kubernetes EKS clusters
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Improve observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboards
- Collaborate with development teams to improve application reliability, scalability, and operational excellence
- Participate in incident response and on-call rotations
- Continuously optimize infrastructure costs, security, and operational efficiency
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, ALB/NLB, Route53, EKS, RDS, and CloudWatch
- Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Strong hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation
- Experience administering Kubernetes clusters, preferably Amazon EKS, and ECS Fargate
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Docker and containerized applications
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, and CloudWatch
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, load balancers, routing, and firewalls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience troubleshooting complex production incidents and performing root cause analysis (RCA)
- English level: Intermediate+ or higher
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault is a plus
- Experience with ArgoCD, FluxCD, or GitOps workflows is a plus
- Experience administering PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or Kafka is a plus
- Knowledge of SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management, is a plus
- Experience with security best practices and compliance standards, including ISO 27001 and CIS Benchmarks, is a plus
- Experience working in high-load, highly available production environments is a plus
- Experience with GCP or Hetzner is a plus
- AWS or Kubernetes certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, or CKAD, are a plus
