Job Description

Developing and enhancing logistics functionalities at Skydropx, ensuring high-quality standards. Collaborating in a multicultural environment focused on growth and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop features and improvements for services and products in a secure, tested manner, in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Write technical documentation.
  • Resolve high-impact, complex technical issues.
  • Ensure best practices for high-scale services and products, following coding standards and ensuring maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot performance and optimization issues, especially at large scale, demonstrating diagnostic and preventive capabilities.
  • Mentor and support team members in developing technical skills, removing obstacles to autonomy and agility.
  • Contribute value to the team and communicate ideas effectively to the team lead.
  • Be available to address critical incidents when necessary.
  • Collaborate on support activities requested by internal teams.

Requirements:

  • Required: English and/or Spanish at B2 level or higher.
  • Experience developing with Ruby on Rails or Node.js.
  • More than 4 years of experience working with GCP components such as GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Memorystore, Pub/Sub, VPN, Compute Engine, IAM, and similar services.
  • Mid-to-senior level experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with environment variables in container instances and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working with Kafka and/or Pub/Sub.
  • Development and deployment of infrastructure as code, preferably using cloud-agnostic tools.
  • Scripting with Bash and Python.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering and best practices across the full development lifecycle, including coding standards, code review, version control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience with operating systems, Linux file systems, proxies, and web servers.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying large-scale distributed systems and high-quality client-server architectures.
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and collaborate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Nice to have / Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience creating microservices and APIs.
  • Knowledge of JSON, typing (type systems), and Node.js.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance.
  • Knowledge of common algorithms and data structures.
