Job Description

DevOps Engineer contributing to software development and operational responsibilities for gaming and fintech solutions. Collaborating within a small agile team to enhance platform capabilities and drive automation efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and contribute code to improve scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Contribute unit tests and participate in peer reviews to maintain a high quality codebase.
  • Collaborate closely within a small agile team to plan, deliver, and continuously improve.
  • Ensure operational readiness of solutions, including performance, monitoring, reliability, and disaster recovery considerations.
  • Contribute across design, development, automation, and operational support activities.
  • Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable, and automated releases.
  • Continuously improve system performance, reliability, cost efficiency, and operational workflows.
  • Drive adoption of DevOps, CI/CD and automation.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Installs and Support teams to ensure platforms are production ready and well supported.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in DevOps or Software Development roles
  • Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, or similar scripting languages
  • Hands on experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience working with virtualised, containerised, or distributed environments
  • Solid understanding of containerisation and orchestration
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar)
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
