Job Description
Director of Technical Accounting leading financial reporting and compliance initiatives at Kaseya. Partnering with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and drive business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and delivery of external financial reporting
- Ensure timely, accurate reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support quarterly debt compliance reporting and annual filings
- Monitor evolving accounting standards and assess impact to the business
- Serve as the technical accounting expert for complex transactions including leases, equity, cloud computing arrangements, impairments, and other non-standard transactions.
- Draft and maintain technical accounting memos and policies.
- Partner with Legal, FP&A, Treasury, and Tax on strategic initiatives and accounting implications.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for corporate entities.
- Ensure accurate accounting for intercompany transactions, allocations, and consolidations
- Support internal and external audits and ensure SOX compliance.
- Lead and develop a high-performing technical accounting team.
- Drive improvements across reporting, systems, and internal controls.
- Partner closely with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and senior leadership on financial analysis, disclosures, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- Strong U.S. GAAP and technical accounting expertise
- Experience leading financial reporting and close processes
- Background supporting audits and SOX environments
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with finance and business teams
- Proven leadership experience and ability to scale processes
- Experience in SaaS or high-growth environments preferred.
