Job Description
District Sales Manager leading AbbVie’s Taiwan HCV commercial sales team. Driving revenue, market strategy, customer relationships, inventory control, and sales-team development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide district sales team leadership, direction, and resources to achieve revenue targets
- Liaise with Marketing, Key Account Managers, Customer Excellence, and sales colleagues to execute sales strategies and programs
- Implement business unit strategies and develop district sales plans
- Contribute to annual plans and latest best estimates for the business unit
- Communicate objectives and milestones to the team
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities in the assigned territory
- Analyze data, inputs, and proposals to adjust plans and tactics
- Identify business and industry drivers, opportunities, and threats
- Furnish the General Manager and Marketing with market and competitive intelligence
- Assess and prioritize business growth opportunities
- Develop account strategies and tactical approaches to meet customer needs
- Build relationships with customers, especially Key Opinion Leaders
- Implement and oversee district inventory management and product expiry controls
- Address product experiences according to company policy
- Hire, coach, develop, and evaluate district sales staff
- Build the talent base and prepare candidates for opportunities
- Support affiliate EHS policies, including driving and biohazard safety
- Represent AbbVie professionally and ensure compliance with legal requirements and the Code of Business Conduct
- Review compliance metrics and reinforce ethical practice initiatives
- Schedule and coordinate sales meetings, review periods, and training schedules
- Allocate district and representative expense and sales budgets
- Establish short- and long-term district and representative goals
- Review expenses, sales reports, account data, and trends to identify and resolve problems
- Design career development plans and developmental projects for direct reports
- Provide feedback, guidance, benchmarks, and performance goals through appraisals and field visits
- Delegate assignments and projects based on skills, roles, interests, career development, and organizational requirements
Requirements:
- B.A., B.S., or healthcare-related diploma/degree preferred
- Ability to understand complex technology, clinical procedures, and administrative requirements
- Proven leadership, resilience, growth mindset, and results-driven approach
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial roles, including experience as a sales representative
- People management experience preferred
- Mandarin Chinese language capability, written traditional and spoken
- Taiwanese language capability preferred
- Must complete the new-hire training program
- Must maintain professional knowledge through self-study and internal and external education events
