Job Description
Donor Procurement Coordinator facilitating organ recovery and transplants for Cleveland Clinic. Working remotely and ensuring compliance with OPTN/UNOS requirements while coordinating donor activities.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate organ recovery and transplant
- Take organ offers and review donors
- Contact facilities and examine labs
- Identify high-risk behaviors in potential donors
- Ensure proper admission coordination
- Comply with OPTN/UNOS requirements for post-transplant documentation
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma from an accredited school of Nursing, Respiratory Therapy or Paramedics
- Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) by the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC) within one year of hire
- One year of experience as an Organ Procurement Coordinator
- Clinical experience in critical care nursing, organ procurement or transplant
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Respiratory Therapist or Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic
