Job Description
Electrical Design Engineer at Expleo responsible for designing electrical schematics for marine vessel projects. Collaborate with engineering teams on project development and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Produce and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
- Design and document 24V DC power distribution and communication systems including serial, fibre, coax, and networking components
- Support the integration of electrical and electronic subsystems on a marine platform
- Collaborate with engineering teams and project stakeholders to manage design changes and resolve technical ambiguities
- Ensure all designs align with relevant marine standards and regulatory compliance
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback efficiently
Requirements:
- HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
- Completion of formal AutoCAD Electrical training preferred
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical
- Strong understanding of 24V DC systems
- Experience with communications infrastructure (serial, fibre, coax, Ethernet)
- Ability to interpret incomplete design data and resolve ambiguities independently
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-changing project environment
