Job Description
Electrical Engineer supporting Nuclear Projects at Amentum. Responsible for engineering tasks from planning to final design under minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- support our Nuclear Projects team.
- responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning through final design for projects of advanced complexity under the minimal supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer.
- responsible for initiating and developing engineering calculations, studies and drawings through completion in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project.
Requirements:
- Must have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4 year ABET accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 7 years of post-graduation professional electrical engineering experience.
- Experience in power system analysis, including load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, harmonic, arc flash and relay coordination studies.
- Experience in SKM, ETAP or other Power System Analysis software.
- Experience with electrical one-line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience in sizing and specifying electrical equipment.
- Advanced level of understanding of power system analysis, lighting, power & control, grounding, lightning protection, communications and security systems.
- Proficient in 2D and 3D AutoCAD, Revit and/or MicroStation.
- Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills.
- Due to the nature of work, candidates must be a US Citizen. US Dual Citizenship may be considered.
- Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
- Position may require travel.
