Job Description
Engineer for electrical supply networks at netzkontor nord gmbh, planning and developing future energy infrastructures. Collaborating with clients on electric supply networks, renewable energy integration, and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and design of medium- and low-voltage networks (distribution and connection networks)
- Network calculations and simulations (load flow, short-circuit, voltage drop)
- Integration and assessment of renewable energy installations under the EEG (e.g., PV, wind, storage)
- Planning and sizing of substations and transformer stations
- Supporting our clients in preparing grid connection applications
- Preparation of planning documents, concepts, and documentation
- Coordination with grid operators, clients, and project stakeholders
- Contributing to innovative solutions in the field of power networks (e.g., smart grids, network optimization)
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in planning power supply networks (MV/LV, ideally also HV)
- Knowledge of network calculation methods
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks (EEG, TAB, VDE regulations)
- Structured, independent working style
- Strong technical understanding
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Business-fluent German, both written and spoken
- Preferably experience in substation planning
