Job Description

Electrical Engineer supporting U.S. Coast Guard Command and Control system integration in remote settings. Handling systems analysis, design, and RF signal processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides a working level expertise in electrical engineering, analog, and digital system design, analysis, and test
  • Performs systems requirement analysis, specification development, design, development, integration and testing support for various hardware and software based systems
  • Designs, develops, tests, and/or operates systems that receive and/or transmit radio frequency (RF) signals for the purpose of communications or navigation
  • Uses state-of-the art signal processing techniques to encode, decode, or otherwise modify RF signals for these purposes
  • Conducts associated power system technology design, development, and evaluation activities leading to the design/component/system qualification for a variety of maritime and remote locations
  • Organizes and coordinates task level efforts including those tasks that require an interface with other engineering disciplines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Ten (10) years of professional experience as an electrical engineer
  • Knowledge of mobile and fixed RF systems
  • Microprocessor design
  • Digital circuit design
  • Analog circuit design
  • Microwave circuitry
  • Radio frequency circuits
  • A current System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) or equivalent certification is required
  • Requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD government security clearance
