Job Description
Field Service Technician repairing LG appliances, TVs and A/C units in customers’ homes. Diagnosing issues, managing parts and meeting service-quality metrics across greater Boston.
Responsibilities:
- Travel offsite to customers' locations to perform maintenance and repair of LG equipment.
- Use all required safety equipment, vehicles and diagnostic tools provided by LG.
- Conduct technical diagnosis and specialized repairs on electronics and home appliances.
- Diagnose problems, assess their extent, document findings, and decide whether to repair products or replace parts.
- Process paperwork and perform data entry immediately and accurately after each job.
- Pre-screen next-day service calls by obtaining information to help diagnose problems before arriving at customers' homes.
- Meet or exceed company metrics, including customer satisfaction, first-time fix rate, revisits, parts management and OT percentage.
- Represent LG professionally while delivering an exceptional in-home customer experience.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a technical role (Appliance repair preferred).
- Experience repairing major appliances (Refrigeration/sealed systems, cooking, cleaning products).
- Experience in the use of tools and diagnostic test equipment.
- Ability to properly trouble-shoot, diagnose, repair and document product/system issues.
- Valid Driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to obtain appropriate EPA Certification.
- Ability to work coverage in the greater Boston, MA metro and surrounding areas.
- Ability to continuously bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
