Job Description
Field Service Technician installing, repairing, and calibrating ZEISS measuring instruments. Traveling extensively to industrial customer sites around Phoenix, Arizona.
Responsibilities:
- Complete approximately three months of in-field and classroom training
- Travel to customer sites in the Phoenix, Arizona region
- Install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate advanced measuring instruments
- Work hands-on with high-tech Coordinate Measuring Machines using mechanical and electronic aptitude
- Document service work and maintain accurate service records
- Work independently while representing ZEISS in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Travel 70–90% within the region
Requirements:
- Minimum high school graduate, completed GED, or equivalent
- Alternatively, tech school, associate, or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Electronics or Industrial Mechanics
- Alternatively, training and experience from a Military Technical School
- Prior experience working with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment
- Microsoft operating system knowledge required
- Capable of lifting one article weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance
- Able and willing to work a minimum of 50 hours per work week, including regular hours and overtime
- Ability to work in an industrial production shop floor environment
- Valid driver license required
- Previous experience installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machines, or computer systems is a plus
- Previous CMM installation and troubleshooting experience preferred but not required
