Job Description

Financial Advisor providing financial planning assistance and investment advisory services for clients. Engaging with retirement plan participants and supporting their financial needs in a virtual setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving inbound calls from retirement plan participants looking for assistance with financial planning.
  • Support investment advisory services within our call center.
  • Making warm outbound calls to customers expressing interest in the creation of a financial advisory program.
  • Participating in the process of setting up new accounts and maintaining accounts for customers.
  • Recording account openings accurately and other transactions in our record keeping database.
  • Explaining employer-based retirement plan requirements and basic IRS regulations related to 401(k) transactions to retirement plan participants.
  • Interacting with customers for account questions and updating account information as needed.
  • Respond to customer inquiries on related issues and troubleshoot basic technical problems.
  • Provide product and service literature upon requests.

Requirements:

  • Series 65 or 66 required.
  • Experience in delivering financial planning and investment advisory services.
  • Educate callers on complex retirement and investment concepts is necessary.
  • Experience building rapport and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Utilize conceptual thinking to identify patterns, apply concepts and clarify complex information.
  • Listen to customers to understand both articulated and unarticulated needs.
  • Use data to persuade and influence customers to objectively guide them.
  • Demonstrate sustained confidence and resilience during client interactions.
  • Ask relevant probing questions to better assess customer needs.
