Job Description
Rédacteur·rice de mots fléchés en stage chez Gamify, agence créant des jeux et contenus ludiques pour la presse française. Vérification et rédaction de définitions pour différents niveaux.
Responsibilities:
- Review every proposed clue and identify errors, incorrect meanings, ambiguities, and inappropriate difficulty levels
- Rewrite clues that lack precision or wit
- Write original clues for easy, medium, and difficult levels
- Master format constraints, including space within the grid, standard abbreviations, and short two- to three-letter words
- Validate each puzzle on the dedicated web interface, checking spelling, accuracy, uniqueness of the answer, and consistent difficulty
- Develop, together with your partner, a shared style guide for fléchés and crossword puzzles
- Work as a pair with the crossword specialist
Requirements:
- Student of literature (modern or classical literature, linguistics, or a related field) able to obtain an internship agreement
- Passionate about fléchés puzzles, with extensive and regular experience and knowledge of the genre’s classics and pitfalls
- Impeccable spelling
- Extensive vocabulary
- Enjoyment of wordplay and double meanings
- Autonomous and rigorous when working remotely
- Cover letter required, describing your personal history with fléchés puzzles
- Include 5 to 10 original clues with your application
