Job Description
Forward Deployed Engineer building AI-powered software for realfast, India's post-AI IT services company. Working directly with clients and founders across full-stack, data, and AI delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Build solutions to real customer problems using the most effective technology
- Work directly with customers in client delivery
- Develop across front-end, back-end, data pipelines, and AI models
- Direct AI agents such as Claude Code and Codex to write code, run tests, open pull requests, update tickets, and manage work across GitHub, Jira, Salesforce, Ashby, and calendars
- Balance elegant code with rapid delivery
- Explore approaches that may improve how software is built
- Ship production software that meets SLAs and improves client metrics
- Collaborate directly with company founders
- Help identify and hire engineers who can operate at the required speed
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of software engineering experience
- Strong coding skills across multiple programming languages
- Understanding of how businesses make money with software
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments without detailed guidance
- Deep mastery of a relevant craft, such as engineering, business analysis, QA, or design
- Comfort working in a terminal
- Daily experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent
- Willingness to learn and use Git
- Ability to write clear, precise prose and explain reasoning in writing
- Ability to direct AI agents clearly
- Full-stack or cross-functional hands-on building experience
- Willingness to work across engineering, delivery, and client contexts
- Must code and be willing to operate across the stack
