Job Description
Freelance linguist translating Life Sciences informed consent forms from English into Acholi for TransPerfect. Remote work available from anywhere.
Responsibilities:
- Translate from English into Acholi in the Life Sciences field
- Work on Informed Consent Form translation projects
- Maintain translation quality, accuracy, spelling, and grammar
- Meet client translation needs and work effectively under tight deadlines
- Maintain professionalism in all situations
Requirements:
- Native level of target language
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Specialized in Life Sciences: Informed Consent Form
- Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines
- A degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education; or 2 years of translation experience and college degree; or 5 year experience and no degree; or a certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body
- Trados 2022 license question included in application
