Job Description
Freelance English-to-Khmer subtitling linguist creating, translating, and QC’ing subtitles for Pixelogic’s global media localization and distribution services. Supporting end-to-end projects for major studios, broadcasters, and digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Create subtitle files through conforming, translating, proofreading, or QC assignments using Pixelogic proprietary cloud-based subtitling software
- Use the in-house glossary tool to maintain consistency across products
- Follow client style guide specifications
- Handle file rejections and make corrections
- Stay current with industry trends and adapt to evolving client requirements
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive content
- Collaborate with the language services department on end-to-end localization projects
Requirements:
- Khmer and English bilingual
- Knowledge of other languages is an asset
- Minimum of 2 years of subtitling translation and/or proofreading experience required
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to work on a rigorous schedule with on-time delivery and flexible working hours
- Ability to follow technical and style guides for multiple client content types
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as part of a team handling changing priorities and workloads
- Time flexibility due to sensitive delivery schedules
