Job Description
Frontend Engineer building React and TypeScript interfaces for Spacelift’s infrastructure orchestration platform. Improving UI quality, usability, performance, and reliability through autonomous product engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Build and evolve Spacelift’s frontend product experience
- Shape a high-quality UI for an infrastructure orchestration platform
- Balance complex technical requirements with performance, usability, and UI quality
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product teams in a cross-functional setup
- Contribute to functionality from discovery through delivery and release
- Own problems and initiatives end to end and drive key engineering decisions
- Participate in Frontend Guild and Design System Guild meetings
- Contribute to UI Alignment Tuesdays
- Use Stability Tuesdays to reduce technical debt and improve reliability
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with JavaScript
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building front-end applications with React
- Strong product mindset and focus on user impact
- High level of autonomy, with ability to own problems end to end and make decisions
- Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and taking action
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Fluent English with clear verbal and written communication
- Experience with Jest or Playwright is nice to have
- Experience with design systems and accessibility standards is nice to have
- Interest in DevOps or infrastructure-related topics is nice to have
