Job Description
GCP DevOps Engineer working remotely for ITTConnect's client in consulting and technology sectors. Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud solutions using GCP services.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy applications using core GCP services, including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions
- Manage and optimize data persistence and analysis using Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
- Develop, manage, and maintain GCP infrastructure using Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager within a GitOps framework.
- Build and maintain sophisticated, multi-stage CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, utilizing GitLab Runners and Docker containers for seamless delivery.
- Implement and manage security best practices using Identity and Access Management (IAM) and centralize sensitive information with Secret Manager.
- Securely configure and automate the connection between GitLab CI/CD and GCP resources, specifically by building container images, pushing them to Artifact Registry, and managing deployments via Cloud Deploy or direct service commands.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of IT Infrastructure related experience.
- MUST BE fluent in English
- GCP DevOps experience and strong understanding of GCP cloud infrastructure
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, specifically with GCP, including hands-on experience with GCP services like App Engine, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud SQL.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud-based infrastructure for PaaS.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible).
- Professional certification in Google Cloud Platform is highly preferred (e.g., Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
