Job Description
Site Reliability Engineer supporting AWS infrastructure in critical environments at Experian. Focusing on system reliability, performance, and availability in a collaborative team setting.
Responsibilities:
- Support, evolve, and ensure the reliability of applications and infrastructure running in AWS environments.
- Ensure availability, performance, scalability, and resilience of production services.
- Define, implement and monitor reliability indicators (SLIs, SLOs and SLAs).
- Automate provisioning and management of infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of preventive actions.
- Maintain and develop automations, CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices to reduce manual tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Implement and enhance observability, monitoring and alerting solutions using metrics, logs, traces and dashboards.
- Analyze performance, capacity and availability bottlenecks, proposing continuous improvements.
- Collaborate with Development, Architecture, Security and Product teams to promote reliability and operational best practices.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer in critical or high-availability environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including services such as EC2, EKS/ECS, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudWatch and related services.
- Experience with Kubernetes and containers (Docker), including operating distributed applications in production.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.
- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/OpenSearch or similar.
- Experience in troubleshooting distributed systems, incident response and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of monitoring based on metrics, logs, traces, dashboards and alerts.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and configuration automation using Ansible or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of Linux, networking, protocols, load balancers and infrastructure security fundamentals.
- Knowledge of distributed architectures, high availability, fault tolerance and scalability.
- Strong communication skills, a systemic view and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Technical English.
