Job Description
General Counsel advising executive leadership on healthcare regulations and compliance. Leading the company's legal and compliance strategy across multiple markets in a fast-growing startup.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on healthcare, regulatory, compliance, employment, and operational matters
- Lead and evolve the company’s legal and compliance strategy across multiple markets
- Partner closely with operations, growth, product, and clinical teams to enable compliant innovation
- Oversee payer contracting, vendor agreements, strategic partnerships, and commercial negotiations
- Guide HIPAA/privacy, Medicare & Medicaid, value-based care, telehealth, and risk management initiatives
- Build scalable legal processes, policies, and compliance programs that support rapid growth
- Manage litigation, audits, investigations, and outside counsel relationships
Requirements:
- JD from an accredited law school & active State Bar membership
- 10+ years of healthcare legal experience, preferably in high-growth or startup environments
- Deep expertise in healthcare regulations, payer contracting, compliance, and operational strategy
- Strong executive presence with the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business solutions
- Experience supporting scaling organizations, market expansion, and innovative care models
