Job Description
Global Trade Analyst ensuring compliance and efficiency in Global Trade Team at Ciena. Supporting project management, policy development, and training for trade operations with a focus on collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with project management for system maintenance and enhancements
- Support upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and provide user training
- Collaborate with IT to resolve issues and implement improvements
- Develop, update, and implement trade policies to ensure regulatory compliance
- Monitor adherence, conduct reviews, and support audits
- Design dashboards for real-time visibility into trade operations
- Create executive-level reports summarizing metrics and performance outcomes
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend automation and systemic improvements
- Enhance data accuracy, reporting, and workflows
- Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance
- Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and deliver training programs on trade tools, policies, and metrics
- Educate teams on compliance requirements and foster a culture of learning
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related fields
- Internship or coursework in international trade, logistics, or supply chain preferred
- Fluent English communication (verbal and written)
- Basic knowledge of import/export processes and global trade regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with trade management software (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
