Job Description

Tax Trainee providing tax compliance support to clients, enhancing their financial strategies. Joining a leading firm with a focus on client relationships and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist work small teams to understand clients and what they want to achieve and advise them on how to get there
  • Turning complex jargon into simple terms and actions for clients
  • Making sure clients are compliant by preparing and submitting their tax returns
  • Liaising with HMRC around tax returns and gaining tax reliefs
  • Generating new ideas, solutions and spotting opportunities to enhance the client offering
  • Keeping up to date with changes to legislation and the impact they may have on clients
  • Study for your ACA/CTA or ATT/CTA Qualification through attending college courses and on the job training

Requirements:

  • A completed degree (or in your final year)
  • Gained a minimum of 3 A Levels or equivalent with grades BBC (with a minimum of one A Level in numerical or business-related subjects)
  • Have great attention to detail, with a passion for numbers and a knack for following processes
  • Possess great communication skills, can build rapport and are comfortable approaching clients
  • Ask questions and deliver a brilliant client experience
  • Can adapt to changing priorities and work in different teams
  • Able to multitask - processing data, chasing information and prioritising your own workload
  • Play all in to support the wider team
  • Are excited about Tax and driven to succeed in the role and qualification
