Job Description
Tax Operations Support assisting Belltower Fund Group’s U.S. investment fund administration and tax compliance operations. Preparing filings, information reports, notices, reconciliations, and tax documentation from the Philippines.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day tax operations across a portfolio of investment funds
- Assist with the preparation, filing, and organization of U.S. federal and state tax returns, including extensions
- Support information reporting processes, including Form 1099 preparation and filing
- Track, organize, and support responses to federal and state tax notices
- Perform tax-related operational tasks tied to fund accounting, including recording and reconciling transactions from a tax perspective
- Maintain and update client and fund tax data across systems, including historical data cleanup
- Prepare and organize tax documentation and workpapers
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather information needed for tax compliance and reporting
- Read and apply IRS forms, instructions, and guidance in support of tax operations
- Contribute to process improvements and documentation as the tax team scales
- Report to the Tax Manager and collaborate with tax, fund accounting, finance, legal, and operations teams
Requirements:
- 1–4 years of experience in accounting, tax, fund administration, or a related role (internships welcome)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Basic understanding of federal and state tax concepts
- Interest in partnership taxation and investment fund structures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with guidance and support
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working and learning new systems and tools
- Overlap with US business hours required for team collaboration, period-end closes, and cross-functional coordination
- CPA eligibility or progress toward certification is a plus, not required
