Job Description
Growth Product Manager building and deploying AI systems across Mechanism’s venture-studio portfolio. Driving experiments, adoption, and revenue growth for consumer businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Package existing AI systems for rapid deployment across portfolio companies
- Connect AI systems to company tools and data, or redesign team workflows
- Work with portfolio CEOs to understand business needs and identify AI opportunities
- Build prototypes quickly, test them with real customers, and iterate based on results
- Explain AI systems in plain language and drive user adoption
- Run experiments across paid advertising, funnels, lifecycle email, and customer support
- Determine whether experiment results are meaningful or noise
- Hand off work requiring heavier backend development to the engineering team
- Take ownership of a business line and drive growth with built tools
- Potentially run one or more mostly autonomous businesses within Mechanism
Requirements:
- Experience in growth or product on a lean team
- Experience running campaigns, outreach, or experiments
- Experience owning metrics such as revenue, CAC, or LTV
- Experience building AI systems that people use to solve business problems
- Ability to diagram AI system components and explain architectural decisions
- Ability to write and ship code with AI tools
- Strong systems thinking; a specific programming language is not required
- Side projects and demonstrated curiosity about AI
- Ability to learn new tools quickly
- Comfort with ambiguity and frequently changing priorities
- Ability to communicate complex ideas simply with CEOs and operators
- Experience at startups or on small teams, ideally in DTC or consumer
- Willingness to overlap with US Eastern Time for most of the workday
- Willingness to work beyond a standard 9-to-5 schedule
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
