Job Description
GIS Product Manager owning enterprise product discovery, backlogs, delivery, and adoption. Driving safer communities through SambaSafety’s driver monitoring software.
Responsibilities:
- Own an assigned product or system area from discovery through delivery, adoption, and outcome realization
- Define problem statements, business impact, product goals, and measurable success criteria
- Recommend initiatives, roadmap priorities, and investment trade-offs
- Lead stakeholder discovery conversations and document business needs, impacts, risks, and dependencies
- Translate business needs into requirements and technical constraints into business terms
- Own backlog order and readiness, including requirements, acceptance criteria, value statements, and dependencies
- Sequence approved work and make day-to-day delivery decisions and scope clarifications
- Lead user acceptance testing and release readiness with stakeholders
- Monitor adoption, product/process metrics, stakeholder feedback, and business outcomes after release
- Recommend follow-up improvements, backlog changes, and future roadmap investments
- Communicate progress, blockers, decisions, and unplanned work in business terms
- Maintain accurate and complete product documentation
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of CRM systems, ERP systems, and other business systems and how they connect
- Ability to define a business problem, assess its impact and risk, and identify upstream and downstream effects
- Ability to lead discovery conversations and document findings
- Ability to translate product goals into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and value statements
- Ability to make day-to-day product decisions independently and provide reasoned recommendations
- Ability to define measurable success criteria and evaluate adoption, process performance, stakeholder feedback, and business outcomes
- Comfort using AI-assisted tools such as Claude or Copilot while validating output and applying company data-handling policies
- 5+ years of product owner, product management, or business systems experience supporting enterprise applications
- Experience owning priorities and a delivery-ready backlog in an Agile environment
- Experience partnering with architects and developers from discovery through release
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce and Zuora, or connected tools such as HubSpot, Gong, Pendo, DocuSign, or Conga (preferred)
- Experience supporting Sales, Customer Success, RevOps, Finance, or Billing teams (preferred)
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification (preferred)
- Must be comfortable working across multiple time zones with geographically dispersed teams
