Job Description
Remote RN providing advanced clinical responses on CDC health topics for Maximus. Supporting medical professionals, government agencies, and emergency-related inquiries.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced verbal and written clinical inquiry responses to consumers, educators, medical and health professionals, state and local health departments, and government offices
- Provide medical subject matter expertise on CDC-INFO topics, including HIV/AIDS, immunizations, environmental health, NIOSH, tuberculosis, and statistics
- Respond to inquiries related to current events, including food outbreaks, natural disasters, bioterrorism, first responders, and national emergency situations
- Perform advanced database searches
- Perform assigned work in accordance with quality assurance measures
- Compose documents, reports, and correspondence
- Document all incoming inquiries
- Participate in special projects as required
- Respond to medical personnel and clinicians in verbal and written formats
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and current RN license is required
- Experience in medical, scientific and public health discipline
- Clinical knowledge of and experience in CDC-related topics
- Proficient internet search skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn and utilize software applications
- Excellent listening, comprehension, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to organize simultaneous tasks
- Must be available to work an 8-hour shift between 8:00am and 8:00pm EST, Monday-Friday
- Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US
- Must use a personal computer or laptop; Chromebooks, tablets, and notebooks are not allowed
- Windows 10 or 11 (Windows 11 preferred), or Mac Big Sur 11.0.1+, Catalina 10.15, or Monterey 12.3
- Internet speed of 25 Mbps or higher, or 50 Mbps for shared internet connectivity
- Minimum 5 Mbps upload speed
- Internet connection via Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router
- Private and secure work area and adequate power source
- Must have a smartphone for logging into Maximus systems
- Must have a web cam for training and occasional internal meetings
