Job Description
Home health compliance analyst overseeing facility licensing, certifications, and regulatory compliance. Supporting Humana's nationwide post-acute care and home health services.
Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Manager, Home Health Licensure & Regulatory Compliance
- Oversee facility licensing and certification processes
- Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including CMS guidelines
- Prepare and submit facility license applications and renewals to State Departments of Health, federal, and local agencies
- Oversee and manage Medicaid and Medicare enrollment, renewal, and compliance activities
- Track expiration dates and coordinate renewal processes to prevent lapses in facility licensure
- Develop and maintain working relationships with internal departments and external regulatory agencies
- Research local, state, and federal statutes and regulations to support organizational initiatives
- Provide clear and concise written reports of research findings
- Conduct due diligence and analysis related to healthcare acquisitions, mergers, and facility relocations
- Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training or meetings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Nursing, or related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, facility licensing, or regulatory affairs, preferably in home health
- Knowledge of CMS regulations, State facility licensing requirements, and accreditation standards
- Experience interpreting and applying complex regulatory information
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in a regulatory or compliance position working with governmental agencies
- Experience working with CMS, Medicaid, and State Departments of Health
- Knowledge of home health regulations, facility licensing standards, and accreditation requirements
- Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload for Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees
- Wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
- Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
