Job Description

HVAC controls analyst optimizing building automation and energy systems for ENFRA’s energy infrastructure projects. Leading commissioning, troubleshooting, testing, and energy conservation measures.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, verify, and optimize the operation of new and existing building systems on-site or remotely
  • Plan, document, and conduct commissioning and retro-commissioning work using company and industry best practices
  • Produce optimized energy and project outcomes for retro-commissioning and relevant new construction commissioning scopes
  • Support training and mentorship of Technical Services staff
  • Collaborate with construction management, facilities management, engineers, and trade partners
  • Lead site surveys, documentation reviews, and due diligence activities
  • Develop energy conservation measures
  • Participate in design and submittal reviews for new construction commissioning
  • Use CxAlloy to document commissioning scopes and develop quality-controlled pre-functional checklists and functional performance tests
  • Prepare technical reports and project observations
  • Implement energy conservation measures and modify building system programming
  • Use test instrumentation to troubleshoot, verify, and optimize building system operation
  • Oversee and execute functional performance tests
  • Supervise trade partners and subcontractors when required
  • Document, archive, and communicate energy conservation measures and building system programming
  • Monitor energy performance and ensure project performance targets are met
  • Identify, communicate, track, assign, and resolve project issues
  • Escalate impediments to project outcomes and scope completion
  • Adhere to company processes, safety guidelines, SOPs, and core values

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
  • 7+ years of commissioning or related field experience with mechanical, electrical, building automation systems, programming, or building operation management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to safety
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work with minimal or limited information
  • Self-directed or able to work with limited direction
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Competency with cloud-based commissioning software platforms
  • Engineering Intern (EI) certification preferred
  • Commissioning Certification from ACG, BCxA, or ASHRAE preferred
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification preferred
  • Building automation systems design and programming experience preferred
  • Ability to travel 40–60% of the time to job sites/office locations
  • Ability to climb stairs, remain stationary for prolonged periods, repeat wrist/hand/finger motions, and move between worksites
  • Ability to work outdoors in precipitation and wind, as well as in quiet and noisy environments
  • Ability to perform light work involving adjustment or movement of objects up to 20 pounds
  • Must be eligible for employment in the United States, as indicated by participation in the e-Verify program
