Job Description
Technical Services Engineer providing expertise in energy conservation measures and MEP design for projects. Collaborating with project teams and achieving technical outcomes in energy management.
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical assistance to pre-engineering teams during data collection surveys.
- Leads site surveys to determine existing facility conditions and the requirements to complete the scope of work.
- Develops energy conservation strategies to execute the project scope of work related to retro-commissioning.
- Assists design team with integration of all energy conservation strategies to ensure all systems have a comprehensive and unified approach to energy management.
- Reviews Requests For Proposals (RFPs) for equipment and services procurement to ensure project outcomes are accounted for.
- Conducts commissioning and occasional peer reviews of design documents.
- Troubleshoots equipment/system installation and setup problems.
Requirements:
- 6-10 years of experience in engineering design, energy management, or retro-commissioning.
- Professional Mechanical Engineering (PE) license.
- Possesses expert technical knowledge of the subject matter.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and Customer/Client orientation.
- Leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor others.
- Ability to problem solve and analyze complex systems.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects with competing deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
