Job Description

HVAC technical trainer delivering safety, installation, maintenance, and repair instruction for Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning. Designing curricula, materials, and web-based programs while evaluating training effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, conduct, and evaluate technical training
  • Write literature and training materials and design exercises to enhance the training experience
  • Conduct live and web-based classes on safety, installation, maintenance, service, repair, and technical communications
  • Report training outcomes and areas needing individual focus to the training team and respective managers
  • Plan, design, develop, and deliver strategic training and instructional programs using instructor-led, train-the-trainer, electronic/web-based, and multimedia methods
  • Participate in the design, development, and implementation of broad-scope training programs
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify technical training requirements
  • Conduct or facilitate general and technology-specific training programs
  • Develop handbooks, job aids, models, multimedia aids, computer tutorials, web-based tutorials, and standard operating procedures
  • Research educational technology and methods and evaluate training effectiveness using data collection instruments and procedures
  • Recommend and implement innovative enhancements to technology training programs
  • Consult with cross-functional project teams, leaders, and stakeholders
  • Coordinate or perform administrative functions needed to deliver and document training programs
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Advanced analytical, business acumen, and critical thinking skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to interpret educational needs and develop effective instructional solutions
  • Working knowledge of designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training plans, curricula, and methodology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook
  • Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Project management and presentation skills
  • Ability to resolve complex problems and issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, rapport building, listening, and effective training delivery
  • Ability to consult with stakeholders and provide technological and organizational feedback
  • Demonstrated ability to train adult learners
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a complex environment
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% on average, with higher or lower travel depending on seasons and projects
