Job Description
US IPOs Analyst covering US IPOs and direct listings for institutional investors. Producing valuation research, deal rankings, trading summaries, and high-touch client insights.
Responsibilities:
- Build ongoing research coverage of all US IPOs and direct listings with an expected deal size of USD100mn or higher, excluding closed-end funds and SPACs
- Develop a data-driven methodology to score and rank deals
- Produce pre-IPO company tearsheets
- Conduct pre-IPO fundamental research
- Provide pre-IPO valuation and pricing insights
- Prepare post-IPO trading summaries
- Prepare post-IPO lock-up expiry previews
- Within the first six months, offer a high-touch service for select institutional clients
- Provide pre-deal pre-positioning, market intelligence/positioning/book color, management meeting questions, Excel models, and bespoke notes for pre-IPO/cornerstone stake under NDA
- Provide post-deal lock-up expiry trades
- Provide desk access via email/messaging and direct calls
Requirements:
- Extensive research and/or investment experience for institutional clients (5 yrs+)
- Demonstrated experience and network within US equity capital markets
- Demonstrated ability to write research
