Job Description

Cloud Engineer II responsible for designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions for Duck Creek Technologies. Contributes to scalable cloud solutions aligning with business goals in a flexible work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure and services
  • Translate strategic cloud objectives into operational execution
  • Guide cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and performance standards
  • Influence cloud engineering practices and contribute to the development of scalable, cost-effective, and resilient cloud solutions
  • Develop and enforce cloud architecture standards, governance models, and operational procedures
  • Oversee implementation of automation frameworks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment pipelines
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging cloud technologies to enhance system performance, scalability, and security
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, security, and application development teams
  • Manage cloud cost optimization initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and usage analysis
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational standards across all cloud environments
  • Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning for cloud-hosted systems
  • Provide technical leadership in cloud migration and modernization projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure architecture, or DevOps roles
  • Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including multi-region design, high availability, and fault tolerance
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and service mesh technologies
  • Advanced scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Knowledge of cloud security frameworks, identity and access management, and encryption standards
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, ELK Stack)
