Job Description
IT systems engineering manager leading networks, cloud, endpoints, automation, and technical teams. Supporting Care Access’s clinical research sites and remote health-service operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for secure, reliable, and scalable technology operations supporting clinical research sites and remote work environments
- Design, implement, and manage switching, wireless, firewalls, SD-WAN, VPN, and LAN/WAN connectivity
- Monitor, troubleshoot, upgrade, and deploy network infrastructure at new sites
- Ensure network availability and performance through segmentation, monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, documentation, and business continuity planning
- Manage network vendors, contracts, licensing, budgets, hardware lifecycle planning, and operational performance metrics
- Manage and improve Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive services
- Lead device provisioning and lifecycle management using Microsoft Intune and JAMF
- Design, implement, and govern AI-enabled automation and workflows for IT operations
- Ensure enterprise AI solutions such as ChatGPT and CoPilot are properly deployed and adopted
- Serve as Technical Lead for infrastructure, network, cloud, clinical-site expansion, and technology refresh initiatives
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, risk-management plans, communications, capacity management, and status reporting
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors
- Recruit, coach, develop, and retain IT professionals
- Establish goals, service expectations, accountability, and performance standards
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused culture
- Operate IT services according to security policies, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and risk-management practices
- Partner with Information Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Legal teams on audits, access reviews, vulnerability remediation, investigations, and protection of sensitive information
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience supporting geographically distributed environments and managing enterprise networks, Microsoft cloud services, endpoint platforms, and complex technology initiatives
- Strong communication, vendor management, budgeting, prioritization, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience implementing AI-enabled automation and workflows with appropriate security, data-governance, reliability, and business-value considerations
- Experience with Cisco Meraki, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Windows Server, Active Directory, ITSM platforms, scripting, workflow automation, and AI-enabled operations tools preferred
- Relevant ITIL, PMP, Microsoft, Cisco/Meraki, or CompTIA Security+ certifications preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
- Seven or more years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, networking, operations, or service delivery, including at least three years of experience leading technical teams
- Five or more years of experience in an IT management or technical leadership role
- Remote within the United States
