Job Description
Java Developer analyzing business requirements and developing software solutions for Playtech, a leading gambling technology company. Writing code and assuming technical leadership in game engine development.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse business requirements
- Make architectural and design decisions using Java
- Write robust manageable code
- Take end to end responsibility for product development
- Carry out Alpha testing and code reviews
- Assume technical leadership and proactive behaviour
Requirements:
- Higher education (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics degree or similar)
- 3+ years of Java experience
- Deep knowledge of Java core, collection API
- Experience with source control, build, tracking tools (Git, Maven, Jira)
- Knowledge of common patterns and algorithms
- Experience with web applications (JavaScript, TypeScript)
- Previous background in game development
- Familiarity with features and capabilities of modern Java versions (up to Java 21)
- Understanding functional programming approaches in Java using Vavr (formerly Javaslang)
