Job Description

Junior Product Owner managing healthcare product development and operational workflows at GDIT. Translating complex healthcare needs into actionable product requirements for clinical and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog for healthcare applications (Members profiles, Claims, Providers)
  • Translate Clinical, Operational and Regulatory requirement into user stories
  • Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and priorities aligned with organizational goals
  • Evaluate market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to inform product direction
  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to refine requirements and plan releases
  • Facilitate cross functional communication to ensure alignment and transparency
  • Act as the primary point of contact for product decisions and tradeoffs
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review sessions

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree with strong healthcare domain expertise
  • Minimum of 5-years product owner experience
  • Familiarity with healthcare standards such as HIPAA, CMS regulations, HL7/FHIR, ICD/CPT, or revenue cycle processes
  • 5+ years of experience as an Agile Product Owner or Product Manager in a Healthcare Program environment
  • Ability to translate complex problems into simple, intuitive solutions
  • Strong prioritization, decision making, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, highly regulated environment
