Job Description
K12 sales representative selling CORE Foodservice products to schools and educational institutions. Building partner accounts, executing sales calls, and expanding consumption across the Charlotte-area market.
Responsibilities:
- Sell CORE client products to schools and educational institutions
- Build and maintain relationships with education-sector customers
- Understand customer needs and develop effective sales strategies
- Allocate 70% of time to operator contact, sales, product presentations, and customer interaction
- Maintain a Platinum Partner Portfolio of at least 35 accounts, contacting them at least every 60 days
- Make at least 10 sales calls per week and present at least 3 clients on each call
- Use CRM for sales planning, reporting, target setting, objective planning, and self-management
- Collaborate with the Bid Team to identify opportunities and provide sales insights
- Manage commodity utilization with an 80%+ goal
- Drive bid compliance, increase consumption, and execute conversions at assigned Platinum Partners
- Build industry visibility through shows, conferences, and meetings
- Maintain and update operator profiles and competitive information
- Prepare sales tools such as samples, programs, and POS materials
- Support company sales meetings, food shows, vendor fairs, and district sales meetings as requested
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales role, preferably in education or a similar industry
- Strong knowledge of sales strategies and techniques
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Results-oriented mindset
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
- Self-starter with a proactive approach and passion for education
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
