Job Description
Lead Product Designer owning onboarding, rewards, experimentation, and retention for Magic Eden’s blockchain-based Dicey sportsbook and casino. Mentoring designers while driving player growth and trust through polished, AI-enabled product experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Own growth surfaces end-to-end, including signup, deposits, onboarding, first-session experience, rewards, tiers, challenges, races, lifecycle, and re-engagement
- Design behavior-focused interventions by framing player problems, forming hypotheses, and measuring behavioral impact
- Design variants for experimentation and partner with data science on readouts
- Prototype quickly with AI to create clickable, functional artifacts
- Advocate for reward and retention mechanics that build long-term player trust and fairness
- Grow the design system and raise the quality bar through feedback
- Mentor designers as the team scales
- Partner with product, engineering, data science, VIP/BD, and lifecycle teams
- Influence roadmap and strategy as well as execution
Requirements:
- 7+ years in product design on consumer products
- Experience in at least one hyper-growth startup with personally driven impact
- Track record of improving activation, conversion, retention, or monetization metrics
- Genuine passion for iGaming, including casino, sportsbook, or poker experience as a professional or player
- Fluency in behavioral psychology, including reward schedules, variable reinforcement, progression and status systems, framing, and loss aversion
- Demonstrated AI-native building through self-built prototypes, tools, agents, or workflows
- Ability to explain where AI helps and falls short in the design process
- Exceptional product design craft and modern, polished UI skills
- Mastery of Figma and a prototyping stack
- Comfort with crypto and Web3 mechanics and interest in their gaming applications
- High autonomy and tolerance for ambiguity
- Sharp communication and ability to defend design decisions, give effective feedback, and build consensus
- Portfolio submission required
- Must submit one thing built with AI and a few sentences about what was learned
