Job Description

Lead QA Engineer establishing QA strategy and team at Maximus. Focused on ensuring quality and reliability of the advanced telemedicine platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of our QA strategy across our applications
  • Build and manage a high-performing QA team, establishing best practices and mentoring team members
  • Design and implement automated testing frameworks that support our event-sourced architecture
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams during sprint planning to ensure quality is built into our development process
  • Establish quality metrics and reporting mechanisms to track and improve system reliability
  • Ensure testing coverage for HIPAA compliance and healthcare-specific requirements
  • Create and maintain test plans for critical systems including prescription management, lab testing integrations, and payment processing
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies and provide quality-focused input during backlog refinement

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of QA engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Ruby/Rails and React testing frameworks
  • Background in healthcare technology or HIPAA-compliant systems preferred
  • Strong understanding of API testing
  • Proven track record of building and scaling QA processes in fast-growing organizations
  • Experience with performance testing and monitoring tools
  • Excellence in written communication and documentation
  • Background in agile methodologies and sprint-based development
