Job Description

Logistics Engineer Intern supporting warehouse solution design and AI-driven process improvements at Iron Mountain. Analyzing logistics data, facility layouts, and material flow to improve productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Support solution design and engineering activities by reviewing data and translating operational criteria into optimized equipment, process, and technology recommendations for new customers
  • Collaborate with U.S. Operations and Solution Design teams to build automation into current design processes
  • Implement AI recommendations that optimize calculations for warehouse activities
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement Programs
  • Analyze facility layouts and improve material flow to increase site productivity

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment as a rising Senior graduating May 2028 or December 2028
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree only in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and for the full duration of the internship
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies
  • Comfort with analytics and optimization tools used in logistics and warehouse/distribution center environments
  • Proven ability in data analysis and problem-solving
  • Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable engineering methods
  • Interest in a long-term career path toward an Analyst role within logistics
