Job Description
Management Accountant guiding budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for Okendo, a customer marketing platform trusted by 16,000+ Shopify brands. Building models and insights for strategic growth decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecast cycles with department leaders
- Formulate and refine budgetary and accounting policies
- Produce long-range profit and cash flow forecasts for resource allocation
- Prepare timely financial reports and management accounts for leadership
- Translate income statements, balance sheets, and variance analysis into business performance insights
- Ensure financial reporting is accurate and compliant with statutory and accounting standards
- Examine operating costs and income and expenditure to identify efficiency opportunities
- Conduct pricing, sensitivity, and industry benchmarking analysis
- Build and maintain financial models for valuation, capital investment appraisal, and expansion decisions
- Appraise cash flow and financial risk for proposed projects
- Partner with non-finance stakeholders and explain financial insights
- Introduce and maintain accounting systems and internal controls
- Support accurate financial records and reporting compliance
- Report to Pippa Strong and collaborate with leadership and departments across the business
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, management accounting, or corporate finance
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience owning budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis for a multi-entity or international business
- Strong financial modelling skills
- Experience in valuation, capital investment appraisal, and pricing/sensitivity analysis
- Comfortable presenting financial insights to non-finance stakeholders and senior leadership
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Comfortable owning deliverables independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
- Comfortable working across Xero, Excel/Google Sheets, Domo, HubSpot, Rippling, and Brex, or equivalent tools
- Ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Nice to have: experience in a high-growth SaaS or eCommerce business
- Nice to have: exposure to M&A or project finance
