Job Description
Contract Administration Manager drafting, negotiating, and monitoring complex vendor agreements. Supporting Presbyterian Healthcare Services, a New Mexico not-for-profit healthcare system, with compliance and risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, draft, and track new agreements, renewals, and amendments
- Review and analyze contracts to identify potential risks and liabilities
- Identify and use proper contract templates and supplier agreements
- Document tracking of contract reviews in the contract management database
- Engage the Contracts Manager regarding changes beyond standard pre-approved modifications
- Ensure contracts contain required attachments and supporting documents
- Ensure contracts are consistent with system guides and contract policies
- Fully utilize contract database software
- Serve as a resource to other departments
- Act as the primary liaison between Legal Services and Supply Chain Sourcing Managers
- Provide internal and external customer service and timely communication in person, by email, and by phone
- Attend meetings as requested
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- Escalate and resolve issues as appropriate
- Monitor changes in healthcare and other applicable laws and regulations
- Research and summarize issues using federal and state sources, PHS policies and procedures, bylaws, Joint Commission and other accreditation standards, and applicable authorities
- Draft and negotiate complex contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, Professional Services Agreements, Purchasing Agreements, and Educational Affiliation Agreements
- Interpret contract terms and conditions, including fiscal and legal implications, and advise management
- Act as consultant and liaison with internal and external customers on contractual matters
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, business, or healthcare administration required
- Paralegal Certificate preferred
- Minimum of 8-10 years' experience in drafting and negotiating complex legal contracts required
- Ability to perform and deliver high quality legal contracts in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required
- Time management skills required
- Analytical skills required
- Interpersonal skills required
- Advanced knowledge using Microsoft Office required
- Advanced knowledge using Microsoft SharePoint required
- Advanced knowledge using Meditract or other document management software required
- Proven multitasking ability
- Resilience when faced with multiple deadlines and competing priorities required
