Job Description
Cientista de Dados desenvolvendo modelos de machine learning e soluções geoespaciais para o agronegócio. Consultoria BIP Brasil apoiando decisões com imagens de satélite e dados analíticos.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement machine learning models and statistical techniques applied to agribusiness challenges.
- Analyze geospatial, agronomic, climate, operational, and market data.
- Process satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and other remote sensing sources.
- Develop models for classification, segmentation, forecasting, pattern detection, and insight generation.
- Create and optimize geoprocessing algorithms to automate data analysis and processing.
- Use GIS tools to analyze, interpret, and visualize spatial information.
- Integrate data from APIs, databases, files, geospatial platforms, and external sources.
- Structure data preparation, validation, and enrichment processes.
- Support the development of indicators, dashboards, thematic maps, and analytical products.
- Evaluate the quality, performance, and applicability of developed models.
- Document methodologies, assumptions, results, and analytical limitations.
- Prepare reports and presentations featuring key results and recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with technology, data, business expert, and client teams.
- Translate business needs into analytical hypotheses and data-driven solutions.
- Support the deployment and evolution of models in production environments.
- Apply data science, geoprocessing, and spatial analysis to develop solutions aligned with client needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Geography, Agronomy, Geoprocessing, or a related field.
- Candidates with other educational backgrounds may also be considered if they have experience compatible with the challenges of the role.
- Experience developing machine learning models or conducting statistical analyses.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data processing, modeling, and analysis.
- Familiarity with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with geospatial data, spatial analysis, or geoprocessing.
- Familiarity with tools such as QGIS, ArcGIS, or equivalent platforms.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Ability to prepare, process, validate, and analyze diverse datasets.
- Ability to interpret results and communicate conclusions clearly.
- Knowledge of model evaluation and validation metrics.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to understand business problems and translate them into analytical approaches.
