Job Description
Cloud Platforms Software Engineer building scalable Java/Spring Boot backend services for Motorola Solutions’ public safety technology. Integrating REST APIs, cloud infrastructure, and real-time data platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, develop, and design robust cloud services using modern Java ecosystems and frameworks
- Build and scale cloud computing infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP architectures
- Implement secure and reliable backend workflows that manage throughput and system consistency
- Design and deploy resilient REST API architectures and WebServices to unify data workflows
- Utilize Hibernate and related ORM frameworks to orchestrate data lifecycle and storage pipelines
- Leverage Spring Framework, including Spring Boot and Spring Security, to optimize ecosystem capabilities
- Perform system integration of software components to simplify complex workflows for end-users
- Collaborate with cross-functional product groups to align backend APIs with Angular and React frontend experiences
- Troubleshoot complex architectural issues and handle system optimizations under operational scale
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a technical field
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development with a focus on Java
- Experience with Spring Boot to build, configure, and secure microservices within automated cloud infrastructure
- Experience developing scalable REST APIs for high-throughput data exchange
- Experience with Hibernate for object-relational mapping and advanced database queries
- Experience utilizing Azure, AWS, or GCP services for scalable application deployments
- Technical troubleshooting skills to analyze, isolate, and resolve complex systemic software issues
- Agile collaboration experience within a cross-functional team environment
- Ability to create clear system structures and developer documentation for backend platforms
- Experience with Angular or React is preferred
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines in a cloud context is preferred
- Familiarity with messaging systems or streaming architectures is preferred
