Job Description
Network Administrator supporting FAA’s Air Traffic Control System connectivity and deployment activities. Ensures security, reliability, and operational continuity for air traffic control environments.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and validate LAN/WAN connectivity for TSS systems.
- Support Mission Support Network connectivity for retrofit and new installations.
- Configure routers, switches, VLANs, and firewall rules.
- Support EDR connection setup and validation.
- Validate IP addressing schemes and network segmentation.
- Coordinate with Implementation Engineers, Vendors, and FAA stakeholders.
- Provide network readiness validation prior to installation.
- Support cutover activities and network activation.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, and performance issues.
- Ensure compliance with FAA cybersecurity and network policies.
Requirements:
- College degree (or equivalent military or field experience).
- Minimum 7 years of progressive network administration experience.
- Experience with enterprise routing and switching.
- Knowledge of VLAN configuration, subnetting, and IP routing.
- Experience integrating systems into enterprise networks.
- Ability to support live operational environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
